WORLD RED CROSS DAY CELEBRATION & BLOOD DONATION CAMP- 08/05/2025
On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, a grand blood donation drive jointly organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, Kanniyakumari District Branch and Padmanabhapuram (Thuckalay) Head Hospital was held on Thursday, 8-05-2025 at 9 am. The event was presided over by Rtn.Dr.N.S. Kumaradhas, Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Kanniyakumari District Branch. The Superintendent of Padmanabhapuram Head Hospital, Dr. Rajaiyan inaugurated the blood donation. Medical Officer Dr. Kolappan presided over the event. Red Cross Executive Committee members Rtn.S.Elango, Prof.Dr.T.Jayanthi, Mobile Medical Unit Doctor P. Manikandan Prabhu, Sub-committee Chairmen R. Prince, Pratheesh, Selvakumar, G. Muthukumar, E. Jagan and hospital administrators, college students participated and donated blood. More than 50 people donated blood in this blood donation camp.

The event was presided over by Rtn.Dr.N.S. Kumaradhas, Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Kanniyakumari District Branch. The Counselor of Sacred Heart International School Dr.S.Viju Kumar Delivered Welcome Address. The Principal of Sacred Heart International School Mr.S.Mani Suresh Delivered Presidential Address, The Joint Director, Kanniyakumari District Dr.A.Sakaya Stephen Raj Delivered Chief Guest Address, The Superintendent of Padmanabhapuram Head Hospital, Dr. Kosalram Chandra attended the event as Guest of Honour. Medical Officer Dr. Kolappan & J.R.C Convener, Marthandam Edu. District Mr.P.Anbazhagan presided over the event.
